When I say I want to photograph someone, what it really means is that I’d like to know them. Anyone I know I photograph.

- Annie Leibovitz

Hello! I”m Taylor Torbert, an IFNP that gets swept up in emotions and dreams. With me on your wedding team, you’ll get someone that genuinely celebrates with you, gets just as excited as you over all the details you hand-picked, and encourages you as your personal hype-woman making sure you feel beautiful. I can’t wait to hear your vision, your love story, and how I can transform those elements into artful photographs that capture this season as it feels. Let me know about you, your relationship, your dreams! I genuinely want to know and celebrate with you!

This is me! When I’m not travelling with my husband James & our beagle Watson, camera in hand, you can find me curled up reading, buying records, or smelling all the candles in Anthropologie feeling like I’m Holly Golightly in Tiffany’s. Of course you can also find me snuggled on the couch watching The OC for the hundredth time. My little emo heart can never get enough of that teen angst and awesome soundtrack.

James & I started dating at 16 in high school, came to the University of South Carolina (our degrees couldn’t be more opposite: media arts & accounting), and got married a week after we graduated! We stayed in Columbia, bought a house, and have the sweetest dog in the whole world. We love going on adventures, whether that’s hiking in New Zealand, driving to Charleston for a day trip, kayaking in Hawaii, or exploring breweries in Asheville.

No longer will they call you Deserted,

or name your land Desolate.

But you will be called Hephzibah (my delight is in her),

and your land Beulah (married);

for the Lord will take delight in you,

and your land will be married.

  • Isaiah 62:4

Beulah is the Hebrew word for “married”. It comes from one of my favorite verses, and is engraved inside both of our wedding bands. When choosing a name for my business, I wanted something symbolic, something bigger than me, a word to represent what love can do.
